The board of managers of Dallas-based Parkland Health & Hospital System has directed its executive search firm, Korn/Ferry International, to expand its search for CEO.
The board considered an initial pool of candidates selected by Korn/Ferry, but it wants to evaluate a "broader array of profiles from across the country," according to the release. The board is emphasizing quality in its selection of a new CEO.
Current Parkland Interim CEO Robert Smith has declined to be in the running for permanent CEO, according to the release.
