Manassas, Va.-based Novant Health UVA Health System appointed Al Pilong, Jr., senior vice president and CEO, effective April 1.
Five notes:
1. Mr. Pilong comes to Novant Health UVA Health System from Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, Mich., where he serves as president.
2. He is also COO of Traverse City-based Munson Healthcare.
3. He was previously senior vice president of Valley Health in Winchester, Va.
4. Mr. Pilong holds an MBA from Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia.
5. He is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
