Bruce Crowther, president and CEO of Northwest Community Healthcare in Arlington Heights, Ill., has announced he plans to retire at the end of 2013, according to a report by the Daily Herald.
Mr. Crowther has been at the helm of Northwest Community Healthcare for more than 20 years. During his time as CEO, the system saw many improvements, including adding a wellness center and a center for specialty medicine, according to the report.
Northwest Community's CFO Steve Scogna will be promoted to COO, effective Dec. 1. Mr. Scogna will then most likely transition to CEO after Mr. Crowther's retirement in 2013, according to the report.
