Iredell Health System has named Lindsay Smith to serve as its next director of risk management and patient safety.
The Statesville, N.C.-based system announced her promotion in a Nov. 14 news release. For more than a decade, Ms. Smith was Iredell Health System's hospital-based skilled nursing administrator. In this role, she will work with administrators to develop and implement protocols to advance risk management and patient safety across the 391-bed system.
Ms. Smith succeeds Jennifer Holmes, MSN, RN, who served as director of risk management and patient safety from October 2023 to July 2024.
