Newton-Wellesley Hospital in Newton, Mass., has announced that Michael Jellinek, MD, will step down as president, effective Aug. 1.
Dr. Jellinek will focus on his responsibilities as chief of clinical affairs of Boston-based Partners HealthCare System. Patrick Jordan III, currently the hospital's COO, will serve as interim president.
Under the leadership of Dr. Jellinek, Newton-Wellesley has seen strong financial growth, new program development, renewed focus on quality and the beginning of clinical collaborations with Boston-based Massachusetts General and Brigham and Women's Hospitals.
