Jeffrey Steinberg, MD, has been appointed CEO at Weiss Memorial Hospital, a Vanguard Health System-owned facility in Chicago, according to a hospital release.
Dr. Steinberg replaces Frank Molinaro, who had served in executive positions at Weiss Memorial since 2004. Mr. Molinaro transitioned from the CEO spot this past July to lead one of Vanguard's hospitals in the Phoenix market.
Dr. Steinberg, a urological surgeon, comes to Weiss from Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, Conn., where he served as senior vice president for health policy and disparity and chairman and director of surgery since 2006.
