Steven Rose, RN, president and CEO of Seaford, Del.-based Nanticoke Health Services, will retire at the end of January 2020.
Mr. Rose joined Nanticoke Health Services, which includes Nanticoke Memorial Hospital and the Nanticoke Physician Network, in 2008 as president and CEO. During his tenure, the Nanticoke Physician Network grew from five to 50 physicians and in 2019, the organization received an IBM Watson 100 Top Hospital award.
He has prior experience as chief nurse at Germantown Hospital in Philadelphia and COO at Holy Redeemer Hospital in Meadowbrook, Pa. He is a U.S. Army veteran with 30 years of service.
Mr. Rose was a three-year member of the American Hospital Association's board of directors and chaired the association's Region 3 Policy Board. He is currently on the board of the Coalition to Protect America's Hospitals.
