The Board of Directors of the Metropolitan Chicago Healthcare Council has named Daniel T. Yunker as its new president and CEO.
Mr. Yunker has served nearly 10 years as a member of the MCHC executive team, most recently as senior vice president. Prior to joining MCHC, Mr. Yunker was a vice president at the Aon Corporation and director of business development at the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
Mr. Yunker will begin his new role on Sept. 30. He succeeds Kevin Scanlan, who is retiring and will serve in an advisory role as president emeritus during the transition.
"I speak on behalf of the membership when I say we are extremely grateful for Kevin's service and look forward to MCHC's next chapter under Dan's leadership," said David L. Crane, chairman of the MCHC Board of Directors and president and CEO of Hinsdale, Ill.-based Adventist Midwest Health.
