San Antonio, Texas-based Methodist Healthcare has appointed Celestina Bryson, DNP, MSN, as chief nursing officer for its specialty and transplant hospital.
Dr. Bryson brings 29 years of healthcare experience to the role, including more than a decade in senior leadership. She joined the health system in 2017 as vice president of critical care nursing at Methodist Hospital, where she oversaw several service lines, including progressive care and neurology.
Dr. Bryson also served 23 years in the U.S. Army Reserve, retiring as a lieutenant colonel and assistant chief nurse.
Her new role at the 383-bed transplant hospital is effective Jan. 13.
