Memorial Health System of East Texas in Lufkin, has named Peggy Mortensen, RN, FACHE, as COO and CNO of Memorial Medical Center-Lufkin.
Ms. Mortensen has more than 20 years of healthcare leadership experience. Most recently, she served as executive vice president and COO of St. Joseph Medical Center in Towson, Md. Prior to that, she held administrative positions at St. Vincent's HealthCare in Jacksonville, Fla.; Sarasota (Fla.) Memorial Hospital; Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn.; and the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.
