Bill Ketner is leaving his post as president and CEO of Winston-Salem, N.C.-based MedCost, according to a Winston-Salem Journal report.
Mr. Ketner has served as president and CEO of the company for 15 years.
MedCost is a health management company co-owned by Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, N.C., and Carolinas HealthCare System, based in Charlotte, N.C.
Wake Forest Baptist officials did not comment on why Mr. Ketner is leaving MedCost, according to the report. However, MedCost is using Witt/Kieffer, an executive search firm based in Oak Brook, Ill., to fill the soon-to-be empty position, and the job posting states that the CEO position is open due to the "planned retirement" of the current CEO.
