Grand Blanc, Mich.-based McLaren Health Care named Crystal Arthur, MD, inaugural chief medical director of emergency services for the system.
Dr. Arthur will collaborate with emergency providers and ED leaders to advance patient care and experience, bolster clinical outcomes and maintain operational efficiency, according to a Dec. 4 system news release.
Previously, Dr. Arthur worked at the Detroit Medical Center for 16 years, where she ultimately served as chief of the emergency medicine department at multiple hospitals.
McLaren provides emergency services at 11 inpatient hospitals and four freestanding EDs.
