Erin Brown has been named vice president of advancement and chief development officer of Portland-based MaineHealth.
Ms. Brown joined the system in April, previously serving as associate vice president of philanthropy at MaineHealth Maine Medical Center in Portland, according to a Dec. 3 news release shared with Becker's. She succeeds Susan Doliner, who was named chief development officer earlier this year, overseeing MaineHealth's newly unified development team.
With experience across industries including education and social services, Ms. Brown led a $346 million capital campaign at Bates College in Lewiston, Maine, where she served as associate vice president for college advancement, the release said.
"The creation of MaineHealth’s system-wide philanthropy team is an effort to grow and enhance our fundraising while ensuring that local gifts continue to support their intended hospital organizations and projects," MaineHealth CEO Andrew Mueller, MD, said in the release. "Under Erin’s leadership, MaineHealth aims to elevate its philanthropy programs, expand donor relationships and support our MaineHealth vision of working together so our communities are the healthiest in America."
MaineHealth includes a level 1 trauma center and eight community hospitals.
