LMC CEO accepts new job: 4 things to know

Mike Anderson, CEO of Littlefork (Minn.) Medical Center, will leave his post in January to accept a position as executive director of Fair Oaks Lodge, a senior citizens care facility in Wadena, Minn., according to a report from The Journal.

Here are four things to know about Mr. Anderson.

1. His last day as CEO of LMC will be Jan. 8.

2. Mr. Anderson’s departure comes as LMC looks for new organizations that will be taking over the hospital’s operations. A joint advisory committee has met to implement proposals for selling or leasing the city-owned LMC, Mr. Anderson said, according to the report. However, no recommendations have been made yet.

3. Prior to his CEO role, Mr. Anderson was director of senior services at Bigfork (Minn.) Valley Hospital and care center administrator at LMC, under a management agreement with Bigfork Valley.

4. During Mr. Anderson’s tenure at LMC, the hospital created a strategic plan and upgraded its Internet technology and EMR systems.
