Brentwood, Tenn.-based LifePoint Hospitals announced that Victor Giovanetti has been appointed as COO of its eastern group of hospitals.
In his new role, Mr. Giovanetti will oversee the operations of 17 hospitals in Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia and Michigan, including hospitals owned by Duke LifePoint Healthcare. Duke LifePoint is a joint venture of Durham, N.C.-based Duke University Health System and LifePoint Hospitals.
Most recently, Mr. Giovanetti served as president of Roanoke, Va.-based LewisGale Regional Health System. Earlier in his career, Mr. Giovanetti served in management roles with HCA, Symbion and other healthcare organizations in Georgia.
