Louisville-based KentuckyOne Health selected Bruce Tassin to serve as CEO, in addition to his current role as president of Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Ky.
He will also oversee Kentucky-based operations for the recently expanded Southeast Operating Division of Englewood, Colo.-based Catholic Health Initiatives, KentuckyOne's parent.
Mr. Tassin stepped into the president's role in 2015. He has previous experience working at Irving, Texas-based Christus Health. He holds an MBA from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, La.
In his new role, Mr. Tassin will be responsible for eight hospitals as well as KentuckyOne Health Partners Clinically Integrated Network and KentuckyOne Health Medical Group provider practices in Central/Eastern Kentucky and Bardstown, Ky. These are the entities that will remain within KentuckyOne while the operations and oversight of the others are transferred.
Chuck Neumann will continue serving as interim president and CEO, leading divesting operations for the other 10 entities. He will only remain through the end of the divestiture process.
Mr. Neumann took over from Ruth Brinkley, who left the post in July.
