Joseph Parker, president of Marietta, Ga.-based Georgia Hospital Association, plans to retire June 30, 2013, according to an Atlanta Journal-Constitution report.
When Mr. Parker retires next June, he will have served the association for 35 years — 25 of which he served as president. During his tenure, he helped to create the Georgia Indigent Care Fund, a program that reimburses hospitals that treat large numbers of uninsured patients and preserves access to care for hundreds of thousands of Georgians, according to the report.
