Steven J. Thompson has been named CEO of Johns Hopkins Medicine International, the arm of the system that enters into agreements overseas and manages Johns Hopkins' international enterprises, according to a JHM news release.
Mr. Thompson held this title in 1999 when the arm was first established. He left in 2007 to become senior vice president of JHM.
JHI coordinates treatment for out-of-town patients who travel to Baltimore and local patients with limited English proficiency. It also provides professional services in hospital management, health care consulting and clinical education through strategic alliances and affiliations overseas.
