Jefferson Community Health & Life CEO Chad Jurgens to resign

Chad Jurgens, CEO of Jefferson Community Health & Life in Fairbury, Neb., is resigning for a new job opportunity.

Mr. Jurgens will assume his new position as senior executive of financial services at Beatrice (Neb.) Community Hospital and Health Center in November. He has served as CEO of Jefferson Community Health & Life, operator of a 17-bed, acute care critical access hospital, for six years. The organization also includes family medicine clinics, long-term care services, a fitness center and home health services.

Under his leadership, Jefferson Community Health & Life acquired the Fairbury (Neb.) Clinic, opened the Plymouth (Neb.) Clinic and completed an $8 million renovation project. It also rebranded to Jefferson Community Health & Life from Jefferson Community Health Center.

Prior to becoming its CEO, Mr. Jurgens was the organization's CFO for 13 years.
