John Anglin, who was appointed CEO of Memorial Medical Center in Port Lavaca, Texas, in early June, started his position at the beginning of the month, according to a report by the Victoria Advocate.
Prior to joining Memorial Medical Center, Mr. Anglin worked in three CEO positions, the most recent in Muleshoe, Texas.
Memorial Medical Center has struggled with finances since having to unexpectedly pay the federal government last year. Financial difficulties, combined with growing tension between the former CEO and the medical staff, resulted in the firing of CEO David Contreras, who had been with Memorial Medical Center only six months.
The hospital also fired CFO Rhett Fricke in an overhaul of the administrative team.
