Huggins Hospital CEO to resign: 6 things to know

Michael Connelly, president and CEO of Huggins Hospital in Wolfeboro, N.H., has announced his resignation.

Here are six things to know about Mr. Connelly's resignation.

1. His resignation will take effect Nov. 30.

2. Mr. Connelly is resigning after more than four years of service at Huggins. He joined the hospital in June of 2011 as interim CFO. He went on to become COO in January 2012 and then CEO by July 2012.

3. During his tenure at Huggins, Mr. Connelly has led improvements in financial and operational performances, along with patient satisfaction, according to the hospital.

4. Aside from Huggins, Mr. Connelly was on many local and state groups, including the New Hampshire Rural Health Coalition, the Wolfeboro Chamber of Commerce and the Sugar Hill Retirement Community board of directors.

5. Upon his resignation, he plans to spend time with family before embarking on the next phase of his career.

6. Jeremy Roberge, Huggins Hospital's senior vice president and CFO, will take over for Mr. Connelly, serving as acting CEO during the transition period.
