Mary Jo Lewis, CEO of HighPoint Health System in Gallatin, Tenn., has announced her retirement, according to a Tennessean report.
HighPoint was created when LifePoint Hospitals in Brentwood, Tenn., purchased Sumner Regional Health Systems in Gallatin in 2010. Ms. Lewis was the first CEO. She has served for 19 months.
According to the report, Ms. Lewis has not designated a specific ending date and has agreed to work with LifePoint officials for a smooth leadership transition.
