Detroit-based Henry Ford Health System has appointed Mark Coticchia as vice president and chief innovation officer, according to a report by The Detroit News.
In his new position, Mr. Coticchia will advance commercial innovation of therapies, devices, diagnostics and business solutions by licensing technologies, creating companies and leveraging the Henry Ford brand around the world, according to the report.
Mr. Coticchia was previously the founder and co-CEO of Redwind Innovations.
"As our physicians, scientists and partners create new products and technologies, we want to develop an exciting vision and take our technology development and commercialization strategy to a world-class level," said Robert Riney, president and COO of Henry Ford Health System, in the report.
