HCA in Nashville, Tenn., has named Sylvia Young as president of its continental division, effective June 1.
The continental division includes seven Denver-area hospitals in the HealthONE System, Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kan., and Galichia Heart Hospital in Wichita.
Ms. Young is a 24-year veteran of HCA. She currently serves as president of HCA's Sunrise Health System in Las Vegas. From 1998 to 2007, she served as CEO of HealthONE's Medical Center of Aurora (Colo.) and Centennial Medical Plaza.
Ms. Young replaces previous president Jeff Dorsey who announced his retirement in March.
