Hannibal (Mo.) Regional Healthcare System has announced that president and CEO John Grossmeier plans to retire, effective Dec. 21.
Mr. Grossmeier came to Hannibal as president and CEO in 1992. He has been in the healthcare profession since 1974. As leader of Hannibal Regional, he served the health system and its surrounding community in many ways, including guiding the creation of the Hannibal Free Clinic, organizing and leading the successful effort to bring thermal imaging capabilities to the Hannibal Fire Department and serving as a member of the Hannibal Airport advisory board.
