Edison, N.J.-based Hackensack Meridian Health has named Daniel W. Varga, MD, chief physician executive.
Dr. Varga will be the health system's senior medical leader overseeing its physician enterprise.
Before joining Hackensack Meridian Health, he was a senior executive vice president and chief clinical officer of Arlington-based Texas Health Resources. He also served as chief clinical officer of Louisville-based KentuckyOne Health and as CMO of Saint Joseph Health System in Lexington, Ky., St. Louis-based SSM Health and Louisville-based Norton Healthcare.
Dr. Varga earned his medical degree from the University of Louisville.
