Gary Riedmann, CEO of St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll, Iowa, has announced his plans to retire in January.
The board will conduct a formal search for Mr. Riedmann's successor. Meanwhile, Ed Smith, senior vice president of St. Anthony Regional, will serve as interim CEO. Mr. Riedmann, who has served at the helm of the hospital for the past 20 years, will continue as president of St. Anthony through Dec. 31, 2012.
