Minneapolis-based Fairview Health Services appointed three new senior executives.
Fairview named M. Osman Akhtar COO. Most recently, he was vice president of operational integration for Sacramento, Calif.-based Sutter Health.
Laura Reed, DNP, RN, is Fairview's new chief nursing executive. She previously served as chief nurse executive and COO at Appleton, Wis.-based ThedaCare.
Fairview tapped Mark Welton, MD, to serve as CMO. He is the former Harry A. Oberhelman Jr. Professor of Surgery and chief of colon and rectal surgery at Stanford (Calif.) University School of Medicine. He also served as chief of staff for Stanford Hospital and Clinics in Palo Alto.
