Erlanger Health System's board of trustees has promoted COO Charlesetta Woodard-Thompson to interim president and CEO of the Chattanooga, Tenn.-based organization, according to a Times Free Press report.
Ms. Woodard-Thompson, whose appointment is effective Jan. 1, will take over for former CEO Jim Brexler, who announced his resignation in recent weeks. According to the report, she has served in the interim president and CEO position from 2003-2004 before Mr. Brexler's appointment to the full-time position.
