Peter Daniels, CEO of Elmhurst (Ill.) Memorial Healthcare, will step down from the health system beginning March 31, according to a Suburban Life Media report.
In January, Elmhurst and Naperville, Ill.-based Edward Hospital & Health Services announced plans to merge, with Edward CEO Pam Davis becoming the CEO of the new health system.
Mr. Daniels told the board that he would stay on to help with the merger process, but he would also look for "other opportunities," according to the report.
Elmhurst CFO James Doyle will serve as interim CEO, effective April 1.
