East Cooper Medical Center in Mt. Pleasant, S.C., appointed Patrick Downes CEO, according to a Moultrie News report.

1. Most recently, Mr. Downes served as CEO of Coral Gables Hospital.
2. Prior to that, he served as COO of Hialeah (Fla.) Hospital.
3. He also worked as associate administrator at West Palm Beach-based Tenet Florida Physician Services.
4. Mr. Downes holds an MBA degree from Florida State University in Tallahassee.
