Peter Slavin, MD, president of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, has been named chairman of the board of directors for the Massachusetts Hospital Association.
Dr. Slavin has served for four years on the MHA's executive committee but took over his role as chairman last week at the group's annual meeting. He was preceded as chairman by Normand Deschene, CEO of Lowell (Mass.) General Hospital.
