New Bedford, Mass.-based Southcoast Health System has named Cynthia Cunningham Wicks president of Southcoast Physicians Network, a community-based physician network of primary care and specialty care private physician practices and Southcoast-affiliated practices. 
Ms. Wicks will lead and oversee all the financial and operational aspects of Southcoast Physicians Network. She will also play a role in the growth and development of Southcoast's accountable care organization.
Before joining Southcoast, Ms. Wicks was the vice president of healthcare network strategy for Capital District Physicians' Health Plan in Albany, N.Y. She has a master's degree in finance from Rensselaer Hartford (Conn.) Graduate Center and a master's degree in health administration from Duke University in Durham, N.C.
