Corcoran District Hospital in California Launches Search for New CEO

The board of directors at Corcoran District Hospital in Hanford, Calif., has launched a search for a new CEO after dismissing Jonathan Brenn late last month, reported The Sentinel.

Mr. Brenn's dismissal follows a series of controversial layoffs and closures in February and March that were intended to slow declining revenues, but eliminated many of the services once available.

The Sentinel reports that Mr. Brenn's actions have disappointed Corcoran residents, who passed an $18 million bond in 2005 for the construction of a new hospital facility, as well as the hospital's board of directors. Said Board Chairman Donald Chavez: "We felt that he wasn't doing his job anymore."
