Matt Mathias has been named COO of Clear Lake Regional Medical Center in Webster, Texas.
Here are four things to know about Mr. Mathias.
1. He began his job Oct. 25.
2. Before joining Clear Lake Regional, Mr. Mathias served was COO of Blacksburg, Va.-based LewisGale Hospital Montgomery.
3. Among his accomplishments at LewisGale, Mr. Mathias played a key role in developing and opening three medical office buildings, and the opening of four timeshare clinic offices for the rotation of specialists into secondary service. He also led the implementation of a new 1.5T MRI unit in the hospital.
4. Mr. Mathias earned a bachelor's degree from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va., and has a master's degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond.
