Chicago's Rush University Medical Center Promotes Peter W. Butler to President

Rush University Medical Center in Chicago has promoted Peter W. Butler to president of the hospital, according to a Rush news release.

The announcement was made by Dr. Larry J. Goodman, who will continue as Rush's CEO, president of Rush University and president of the Rush System for Health. He has held these titles since 2002.

Mr. Butler previously served as executive vice president and COO of Rush University Medical Center. He has also held positions with Rush North Shore Medical Center, The Methodist Hospital System in Houston and the Henry Ford Health System in Detroit.

The changes in titles will not alter existing reporting relationships, existing management structure or the daily duties of either Mr. Butler or Dr. Goodman.
