Toledo, Ohio-based Mercy Health System has restructured its leadership organization, eliminating the job of CEO Andrea Price, according to a Toledo Blade report.
Ms. Price's last day with Mercy Health System will be March 27.
In February, Ms. Price led a community meeting announcing the health system would undergo cost-cutting measures to compensate for declining revenue and reduced hospital admissions, according to the report.
Brian Smith, executive vice president of the northern region of Cincinnati-based Catholic Health Partners, the parent company of Mercy Health System, said in the meeting that the current care model is unsustainable, according to the report.
Ms. Price joined Mercy Health System in 2009 as COO and was promoted to CEO in 2010.
"The company and I have reached a mutually agreeable resolution of my employment and I look forward to new endeavors," Ms. Price said in a statement, according to the report.
