CEO of Tenet's Saint Louis University Hospital Steps Down

Crystal Haynes has stepped down as CEO of Saint Louis University Hospital in St. Louis to pursue other opportunities, according to a St. Louis Business Journal report.

COO Dawn Anuszkiewicz was appointed to interim administrator and will oversee the hospital's daily operations. Her appointment is effective Dec. 22.

Hospital officials expect to announce a new CEO in early 2011.

Brentwood, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems offered to buy SLU Hospital's parent company, Dallas-based Tenet, last week. Ms. Haynes' departure and the recent acquisition offer are unrelated, according to a Tenet spokesperson cited in the report.
