Jim Grocholski, CEO of Memorial Hospital of Texas County in Guymon, Okla., has been voted out of his position by the hospital's Board of Control, according to a Guymon Daily Herald report.
While the terms of his ousting remain undisclosed, the board agreed to buy out the remainder of Mr. Grocholski's contract. Hospital physicians have been calling for a leader to replace Mr. Grocholski, who reported the hospital lost $1.3 million this year alone and has been experiencing a severe drop in in-patient volume.
"I find it vastly ironic that the highest paid employee of the county presents such a gloomy report and forecast of what's happening to our hospital," said Martin Bautista, MD, the hospital's chief of staff, who claims Mr. Grocholski "blames everyone else, except himself."
