Earl Fitzpatrick, CEO of North Canyon Medical Center in Gooding, Idaho, has been put on administrative leave for more than three weeks, according to a Times-News report.
Representatives of the hospital said they were unsure when Mr. Fitzpatrick would return, according to the report. Gooding Police Staff Sgt. Sjuni Bunderson said Idaho State Police are investigating a matter related to Mr. Fitzpatrick's leave.
Mr. Fitzpatrick has served as CEO since 2005, during which time the hospital has shifted to nonprofit ownership.
