CEO Kim Bassett to Leave Florida's Fishermen's Hospital, Stay With HMA

Kim Bassett will step down as CEO of Fishermen's Hospital in Marathon, Fla., when Quorum Health takes over for Health Management Associates on July 1, according to a KeysNet.com report.

Ms. Bassett decided to remain an employee of HMA, which has leased the hospital for the past 25 years, because she wanted to remain in Marathon and because she appreciates the opportunities HMA gave her, according to the report.

Ms. Bassett has served as CEO of Fishermen's Hospital for about five years. She has also been serving as interim CEO of HMA's St. Cloud (Fla.) Regional Medical Center.
