Rockville Centre, N.Y.-based Catholic Health Services of Long Island selected Joseph Carofano to serve as senior vice president for strategy and chief marketing officer.
Four notes:
1. Mr. Carofano comes to Catholic Health Services from Danbury-based Western Connecticut Health Network, where he was vice president for marketing, communications, planning and strategy.
2. He also has 20 years of experience at Bayer Pharmaceuticals.
3. He holds an MBA from the University of New Haven in West Haven, Conn.
4. Catholic Health Services includes six acute care hospitals, three nursing homes, a home nursing service and a community-based agency for the special needs population.
