Kanute Rarey, CEO of Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton, Ky., has announced his retirement, according to a Madison Courier report.
Mr. Rarey will finish out his contract with the hospital and then retire on Jan. 4, 2013. He has been the hospital's CEO since November 2007.
Carroll County Memorial's board of directors will complete a search for the new CEO while Mr. Rarey finishes out his contract.
Mr. Rarey and his wife plan to move to North Carolina after his retirement to be closer to family, according to the report.
