California hospital names CEO, chief medical exec

A new CEO and chief medical executive have joined the team at Sutter Santa Rosa (Calif.) Regional Hospital. 

Megan Gillespie, DNP, RN, will serve as the hospital's chief executive, according to an Oct. 4 news release from Sacramento, Calif.-based Sutter Health. She most recently served as vice president and chief nursing officer of Park Ridge, Ill.-based Advocate Health Lutheran General Hospital and will begin her new role Oct. 30. 

Anup Singh, MD, was tapped as the hospital's chief medical executive and has been serving in the role since late August, per the news release. He is certified in internal, pulmonary and critical care medicine, and previously worked as associate program director of the pulmonary critical care fellowship and director of non-CF bronchiectasis at Northwell Health's Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City.
