Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Broward Health has announced the retirement of Frank Nask, president and CEO, upon the completion of his contract on March 31, 2015.
Mr. Nask joined Broward Health in 2006 as CFO and was named president and CEO in 2008. Among his many achievements, he is recognized for the successful management of Broward Health during difficult economic times and his ability to grow the system financially and avoid a workforce reduction. Mr. Nask also brought essential technology to Broward, such as the electronic medical records system and three da Vinci Robotic Surgical Systems.
"The Board of Commissioners is appreciative of the leadership and dedication shown by Frank Nask," said David Di Pietro, chairman of the North Broward Hospital District Board of Commissioners. "The health system has grown and continues to remain true to its mission due to Nask's guidance. We thank him for his years of service."
Board members will conduct a search for a new president and CEO over the next few months. Mr. Nask has been asked to serve as a consultant to the Board of Commissioners to help ensure a smooth transition and make sure the hospital systems key projects are managed successfully once a successor is named.
