Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham, Ala., has named Brenda Traweek as COO, according to The Birmingham News.
Ms. Traweek has more than 30 years of experience in nursing management and healthcare operations. She has served Brookwood since 2003 — most recently as vice president of patient care services. Ms. Traweek previously served as vice president of operations and assistant vice president of surgical services at the hospital.
Before joining Brookwood, Ms. Traweek served as director of surgical services for HealthSouth Medical Center, now known as UAB Highlands Hospital, in Birmingham.
