Bon Secours Richmond Health System president to depart in July

Toni R. Ardabell, president of Bon Secours Richmond (Va.) Health System, is resigning for a new job opportunity in Virginia, according to the Richmond Times-Dispatch.

Ms. Ardabell has led operations in Bon Secours' Richmond market since 2015. In 2016, she took on the additional responsibilities of overseeing three Bon Secours hospitals in Virginia, but her role was restructured to focus solely on Richmond market operations after Marriottsville, Md.-based Bon Secours Health System and Cincinnati-based Mercy Health finalized their merger in September 2018, creating Bon Secours Mercy Health.

She joined Bon Secours in 2009, prior to which she worked at Falls Church, Va.-based Inova Health System.

In July, she will return to Inova to serve as its associate chief of clinical enterprise.

Ms. Ardabell has served on the regional board of the American Heart Association. She earned an MBA from Marymount University in Arlington, Va., in addition to her nursing degrees.

Brian White, president of Bon Secours Mercy Health's Atlantic Group, will serve as interim president of the Richmond market.
