Bear Valley Community Hospital in Big Bear Lake, Calif., has placed CEO Mark Hecksel on paid administrative leave, according to a Big Bear Grizzly report.
Mr. Hecksel took a medical leave of absence May 7 after being diagnosed with lymphoma. The hospital's board voted to place him on administrative leave during the most recent meeting. Mr. Hecksel has served as CEO of Bear Valley since February 2011. Rudy Shutta, the hospital's CFO, has been named as acting CEO.
