Phoenix-based Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center has named Steve Narang, MD, as its CEO, according to a Phoenix Business Journal report.
Dr. Narang is the CMO of Banner Health's Cardon Children's Medical Center in Mesa, Ariz. He earned his medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, according to the report.
Dr. Narang is replacing Larry Volkmar as Banner Good Samaritan's CEO. Mr. Volkmar will serve as CEO until April 25, according to the report. There was no official word on where Mr. Volkmar is heading, says the Phoenix Business Journal, but he is reportedly a finalist for the CEO position at Parkland Health & Hospital System in Dallas.
