Johnson City, Tenn.-based Ballad Health has named a CFO for its Southwest Virginia market.
Phillip Childree will be based at Norton (Va.) Community Hospital, according to a June 10 Ballad Health news release. He will also oversee operations at Big Stone Gap-based Lonesome Pine Hospital, Pennington Gap-based Lee County Community Hospital and Clintwood-based Dickenson Community Hospital.
Mr. Childree will be responsible for developing and implementing financial strategies tailored to the Southwest Virginia market, including demographic considerations and specific healthcare needs of the community, according to the release.
He succeeds Steve Sawyer, who retired in December, according to the release.
Mr. Childree most recently served as market CFO at Dothan, Ala.-based Flowers Hospital and Medical Center Enterprise (Ala.), according to the release.
